Voice Actors

David Vaughn

Resident Evil 7 Chris was voiced by David Vaughn and he will be also be returning for Resident Evil 8. He hasn't done a lot of video game voice acting and is probably more well known for his acting and producing although he did provide additional voices for the Resident Evil 2 remake. You can check out a full listing of his work here.

Roger Craig Smith

Roger Craig Smith, my personal favourite (and I daresay I speak for most Chris fans) voices Chris in (deep breath) Resident Evil 5, Darkside Chronicles, Revelations, Resident Evil and the Marvel vs Capcom series (phew!). Roger Craig Smith was born on August 11th 1975 in Orange County, California and started his career as a stand up comic. Since then, he has gone on to voice countless voices for video games, cartoons, movies and commercials. Probably most loved for being the voice behind Sonic the Hedgehog and obviously not forgetting Captain America and Batman. The man is a hero for sure! You can check out Roger's extremely impressive full listing of work here.

Dave Wittenberg

Chris is voiced by Dave Wittenberg for the Biohazard Pachislot arcade machine (by Yamasa) so is probably not so familiar with the fans who only play the video games. However, he has also provided "voices" for Regeneration and Resident Evil 6 and will be returning for Resident Evil 8. Dave is a South African-born American voice actor from the Los Angeles area who provides voice-overs in English dubs of Japanese anime shows, as well as animations and video games and is probably best known for voicing Kakashi Hatake in the Naruto series. You can check out his LONG full listing of work here.

Kevin Dorman

Chris is voiced by Kevin Dorman for Umbrella Chronicles and then returned 10 years later to voice him again for the first cgi movie Chris appears in, Resident Evil: Vendetta. He also performed the motion capture for Leon Kennedy in Damnation and the motion capture for Piers Nivens in Resident Evil 6 so is no stranger to the REuniverse. You can check out a full listing of his work here.

Joe Whyte

Chris is voiced by Joe Whyte in Resident Evil Remake (he also voices Richard Aiken in the same game). Joe was born on 18 April 1961 in Northridge, California, and has done a wealth of voice over work in his career. He's provided voices for cartoons such as Spongebob Squarepants, the Emperor's New Groove and Home on the Range, as well as other video games such as EverQuest II and The Sum of all Fears. You can check out a full listing of his work here, and also an interview with Joe about his RE work here.

Michael Filipowich

Michael Filipowich voices Chris in Code Veronica (X). Chris is surprisingly the only voice over work Michael has done - all of his other work consists of regular TV and movie acting roles. He has appeared in shows such as Earth: Final Conflict and La Femme Nikita, and movies such as Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. You can check out a full listing of his work here.

Ramsay Scott

Little was known about the actor who voices Chris in Classic, he was credited simply as Charlie. You'd be forgiven for assuming that Charlie was the same person who plays Chris in the live action scenes as well as being his voice actor but this actually is incorrect. Charlie Kraslavsky was indeed the actor that we see portrayed as Chris but his voice actor was Ramsay Scott (aka Scott McCulloch). Ramsay was a Canadian DJ who sadly passed away in 2000 in Japan where he lived with his wife. You can check out a full listing of his work here.

Japanese Voice Actors

Hiroki Tōchi

I thought a special mention was needed for Hiroki Tōchi who has voiced Chris for Revelations, REmake HD, Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7 and also some of Chris' side projects including Marvel vs Capcom and Project X Zone. Hiroki Tōchi is a Japanese actor, voice actor and narrator affiliated with Office Osawa. He has frequently appeared in many anime and video games mainly created by tri-Ace. You can check out a full listing of his work here.
