After the desruction of Raccoon City, a sample of the T-Virus was stolen from the experimental drug vault at the Umbrella Chemicals Corporartion Research Facility, Paris branch. The group that stole the T-Virus was a faction of Morpheus' underlings who highly worshipped him. Due to the workings of this group, a cruiser named the Spencer Rain, which belonged to Umbrella, was hi-jacked, complete with all the V.I.P.s from across the world who were gathered aboard it. His motivation appeared to be based upon his retaliation against Umbrella. However, he was so far off the path of normalcy that he didn't hesitate to make his close confidants the prey of the T-Virus.
